Best Ice cream in the capital region award goessssss to Moxie’s! I don’t exactly remember how we found Moxie’s (probably reading blogs about the best ice cream around) but what I do know is we never let a summer go by without visiting our favorite ice cream spot in the capital region (sorry snowman’s we heart you too 😛 ) Moxie’s Ice Cream, located in Wynantskill, New York, is a family owned and operated Ice Cream shop with a wide variety of unique flavors, all of which are homemade with quality natural ingredients.
The boys absolutely love Moxie’s, not just because the ice cream either…they have plenty of toys, cars, wooden play sets and open space to keep these guys entertained, so much so that its usually a chore trying to get them to leave.
Home wherever the is a ball and a basket, Moxie’s covers all the bases for Our Trippy Tribe!
Moxie’s signature ice cream is their Blue Moon, and their 7 “Around the World” Vanillas. Moxie’s also has quite the international flare which ties nicely with Our Trippy Tribe’s travel theme. They carry 60+ other unique flavors, on our most recent visit we saw a Horchata flavored ice cream that reminded us of our time in Mexico. Don’t worry if you’re more of an ice cream purist, they have all your traditional flavors also! Moxie’s get’s a huge thumbs up from the boys…kid tested, mother approved!
I am more of a traditional ice cream kinda guy but Hannahbee is always willing to live on the wild side with her choice.
This little adventurous soul chose the Cajun Strawberry!!!
Typically we use the allure of Moxie’s Ice Cream as a treat for good behavior and head on over to round out a fun day of activities. There is a bathroom on site, picnic tables, benches, chairs, and plenty of things for the little ones to do.
All the Ice Cream lover’s out there you don’t want to miss out on Moxie’s, but beware some of the flavors are for limited time only (like my personal favorite this summer was white sangria! wine and ice cream somehow amazing!) so get it while the gettings good! Why not celebrate one of the many national ice cream days at Moxie’s this year!
